FAQ: Downloading

Where do I enter my New York Times Premium username and password?
Enter your subscription information in the application's Settings screen, which you can get to by pressing the 'gear' button in the lower-left corner of the Saved Puzzles screen.

I tried to download a puzzle but got a red 'x' instead of a check mark.
This could happen because the puzzle isn't available yet. Sometimes puzzles appear in the date picker a few hours before they are posted online. If you were trying to get an old puzzle, however, then the link may be broken. In that case, please let me know what puzzle you were trying to download and I'll fix it.

I tried to download a puzzle but got a grayed-out check mark.
You already have the puzzle you were trying to download. 2 Across won't overwrite puzzles it already has saved. If you want to start a puzzle over again, delete it first and then download it again.

2 Across is telling me that my NY Times Premium login information is invalid.
The most likely explanation is that there's a typo in your username or password. Try re-entering your login information; that should fix it. If not, e-mail me and I'll be glad to help.

I already have some puzzles on my computer. Can I import them into 2 Across?
Not at this time. Apple provides no way of syncing files for third-party applications. So for now, the only way to get puzzles is to download them from within 2 Across.
